I am a software engineer with a philosophy centered on personal growth and staying curious.
I think, generally, as people get older we tend to become comfortable with our understanding and complacent
with our ignorance; it's an easy pit to fall in that limits our growth and subdues our curiosity. My journey
as a software engineer, a position of lifelong learning and autodidacticism, counteracts that complacency by
promoting the "Hows" of processes, encouraging the exploration of new ideas, and providing opportunities to
grow from mistakes. Additionally, my tech journey serves as an endeavor to stay at the forefront of our
changing world, providing opportunities to contribute to the ripples which affect our communities.
Combining software engineering tools with my business background has positioned me as a natural team
player with the technical skills to create. And to create fits my idea of true growth, as to create something
that is useful, enjoyable, or valuable to others, is to give back to a world we’re used to taking from. I
believe the crowning attribute of creation is how insightful the process is; it reveals insights about
ourselves, deepening our understanding of our wants, our needs, and even the role we play with regards to
those who came before us and those who’ll come after.
